One record for the pilot, the mechanic and dispatch

SKYE connects the three people who touch every flight. The pilot writes up a squawk, maintenance dispositions it with an electronic signature, and dispatch can't release the aircraft until the record says it's airworthy.

It's dispatch for pilots who don't have one: owner-operators and small Part 135 operators get a release, a risk analysis and a signed record without a dispatch department.

SKYE shows data against the limits you set. It never tells you to go or not to go. The pilot in command decides.

Free through 2026 — no subscription and no card required. Some live data lookups use the starter credits every new account gets. Coming soon to the App Store and Google Play.

Electronic signatures follow the key elements of AC 120-78B: a personal PIN entered for every signature, role-based authority, an intent statement, and a hash that binds each signature to the exact record signed. Signed records can't be edited — corrections are signed amendments.

You record your own A025 and A061 in SKYE, and SKYE labels every signature and tail with it. It also drafts an application pack — system description, signature process, data sources, EFB description, backups and sample records — for you to edit and give your POI. SKYE is not FAA-approved; approval is issued to operators through their operations specifications.

Questions

Does SKYE make go/no-go decisions?

No. SKYE shows data against the limits you set — meets, near, does not meet, or not evaluated. The pilot in command makes every operational decision.

Is SKYE FAA-approved?

No. The FAA authorizes operators, not software, through operations specifications such as A025 (electronic signatures and records) and A061 (EFB). SKYE is built to support those authorizations and drafts an application pack you can edit and give your POI.

How fast is an MEL deferral?

About a minute: choose the item from your operator's MEL, confirm the placard and any (O)/(M) procedures, and sign. Category, interval and usage limits come from the MEL item, not memory.

What if I'm an owner-operator without a dispatch department?

That's who the dispatch side is for. You get a signed release, a risk analysis and a release gate tied to the aircraft's maintenance record, without staffing a dispatch office.

Which aircraft does it support?

Any aircraft you add to your fleet with its maintenance tasks and MEL. Performance values are shown only where manufacturer data for that type has been loaded; otherwise they read not evaluated.

Is there an iPhone or Android app?

SKYE runs in the browser today on phones, tablets and desktops. Native apps are coming soon to the App Store and Google Play.

What does it cost?

SKYE is free through 2026, with no subscription or card required.
