Imports and duplicates
Bring in a list you already have, and keep the same person from being in your contacts twice.
Import a CSV
For example, a LinkedIn export.
- Tap + Add Contacts, then Import a CSV.
- Tap Choose a CSV file and pick the file.
- Choose what kind of contacts they are (sales leads, investors, media, creator candidates, vendors, partners or mixed).
- Add an optional segment tag.
- Check the preview, then tap Import.
Rows without a name are skipped, and Sage tells you how many. Rows that match someone already on file are skipped as duplicates, and Sage tells you how many of those too.
How Sage decides it's the same person
- Same person: the same email, the same LinkedIn address, or a phone number with a matching name, or the same name at the same company.
- Might be the same person: a shared phone with a different name, or a name with no company. Sage asks you; she never merges these on her own.
Find duplicates
There is no duplicates screen yet. Ask Sage in chat: "Any duplicates?" or "Clean up my contacts." She lists the groups and says which are the same person and which are only possible matches.
Merge duplicates
- Ask Sage to merge a group.
- She shows a card with the contact to keep and the ones to fold into it.
- The owner or an admin taps Approve.
The kept contact gets any blank fields, segments and notes from the others. The merged contacts are archived into its history, so nothing is lost.
Sage also checks for duplicates each morning in her daily routine, and proposes merges as items in Needs you. Follow-ups and email drafts →
Import a campaign that already ran
If you ran an outreach campaign somewhere else, bring it in from the Campaigns tab. It loads STOPs and unsubscribes first. Campaigns →
