Campaigns

A campaign is a message you send to a list of your contacts, over your own phone or your own email. Sage writes it, tracks it and keeps count. You do the sending.

The rule

Nothing sends on its own. Sage doesn't text and doesn't email for you in a campaign. For texts, your Messages app opens with the message written, and you press Send. A STOP or an unsubscribe on a person counts for every campaign, at once.

Start a campaign

Starting one is done in chat. Ask Sage ("start an expert-feedback campaign for my roofing software"). She asks for the details and shows a card.

The campaign style today is expert feedback. You give:

Campaigns never contain investment, raise or price language. Nothing sends when the campaign is created.

Add people

Ask Sage: "Add these contacts to the campaign." She shows a card; tap it. People on an investor list are never enrolled.

Work today's texts

On the Campaigns tab, open a campaign. You see Today's texts: who to text, with the message written for each person.

  1. Tap Text. Your Messages app opens with the message ready.
  2. Press Send yourself.
  3. Tap Texted so Sage counts it.
  4. When they answer, tap Replied. If they say STOP, tap STOP: no campaign will text them again.

Below the list, Sage shows who she left out today and why (for example a STOP anywhere, an opt-out, a contact limit, a reply already, or a person in Europe).

Read the numbers

Each campaign shows its funnel (each stage's percentage is your estimate) and, per channel, how many were sent, replied and stopped. Ask Sage "How is my campaign doing?" for the same numbers.

Pause or finish

Ask Sage to pause, resume or finish a campaign. She shows a card.

Import a campaign that already ran

Owners and admins can bring in a campaign run somewhere else.

  1. On the Campaigns tab, tap Import a campaign.
  2. Paste a CSV with a header row (name, email, phone, company, title, stage, stop, unsubscribed, texted, emailed, replied) and fill in the campaign's message.
  3. Tap Preview. You see the row counts, the STOPs and unsubscribes (loaded first), who is already in your contacts, and who is new.
  4. Tap Import.

People already in your contacts are matched, not duplicated.
