Email and calendar

Alex works with your own Google account. He can find messages, read your schedule, draft emails and propose calendar events. Writing always goes through a card you approve.

Before you start

Connect Gmail and Google Calendar once in Settings → Integrations. How →

What Alex can do

You askAlex does
"Find the last email from Sam"Searches your inbox (Gmail search words work, like from: or subject:) and tells you what it found
"What's on my calendar this week?"Lists your upcoming events with the other attendees
"Find the meeting I had with Priya last week"Looks back up to 30 days
"Email Sam about Friday"Drafts the email and shows a card
"Put lunch with Sam on Thursday at noon"Shows a card to add the event to your own calendar
"Put that reply in my Operating Feed"Shows a one-tap card; the item is in your feed once you tap Add

Alex can also read files in your connected Google Drive when you ask ("check my budget sheet").

The approval card

When Alex wants to send an email, he shows a card with the recipients, the subject and the full text, and two buttons: Approve and Don't send.

Alex says "sent" or "added" only when the result says so. If the card is still waiting, he says it is waiting.

If something isn't connected

Alex tells you what is missing in one line and takes you to Settings. A sign-in that expired needs Reconnect on its row.
