Deals and stages
The Deals tab is your sales pipeline: what you're working on, where each deal stands and what it's worth. The owner and admins add and move deals. Everyone else can read.
What's on the tab
- A line with Open weighted $X (raw $Y). Weighted is the value times the stage's percentage. The percentages are your own estimates, not predictions. Deals with no value are counted separately, so the total never guesses.
- Your deals grouped by stage, each with its count and total value.
- For each deal: the contact, company, value and expected close date. A date in the past shows "(past)".
The stages
Lead, Contacted, Meeting, Proposal, Won and Lost.
Add a deal
- Tap Add a deal.
- Enter the deal name. Optionally find a contact, choose a stage, and add a value and an expected close date.
- Tap Save deal.
Or ask Sage: "Add a deal: Island Roofing website, $4,000, close by Dec 15." She shows a card; tap it.
Sage doesn't import, score or guess deals. You add and move them yourself.
Open a deal
Tap a deal's name. You see Add a note, Move stage and the Timeline: every stage move, note and change, oldest first. Nothing is edited or deleted; a correction is a new entry.
Move a stage
- Open the deal, choose the stage, and the date it happened if it was earlier.
- Moving backward, or reopening a closed deal, needs a reason.
- Tap Move to <stage>, then Yes, move. Cancel changes nothing.
- Or ask Sage: "Move Island Roofing to Proposal." She shows a card; tap it.
You can also change the stage from the dropdown on the list. That moves it straight away, without the confirm step, so use the open deal when you want the reason and the timeline entry.
Reminders and archive
- Remind me (on a deal with a contact): pick a date and Sage adds a task to your Task Board, linked to the contact and the deal.
- Archive removes a deal from the list.
Ask Sage
- "How's my pipeline?" and "What's my weighted pipeline?"
- "What deals are in Proposal?"
- "What's the history on Island Roofing?"
